The deal, worth nearly $3.5 million, sees Fixnetix utilise Lenovo as its x86 server technology partner. It includes 700 System x3650 M4 servers, upgraded maintenance and flexible financing.
Lenovo provides innovative and reliable x86 server technology, along with a flexible costing model and exceptional levels of service and support. These were key motives in Fixnetix seeking to work with Lenovo. The company also provides a quick response and the appropriate level of expertise for handling problems, which is a vital consideration considering the nature of Fixnetix and the requirements of its clients. The System x server platform, with industry leading serviceability and manageability, was deemed the ideal platform to meet Fixnetix’s aggressive service level agreement (SLA).
"MSPs need technology partners who are agile, flexible and cost effective. This is what we brought to the table for Fixnetix and their banking customer," said Brian Hamel, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Systems Group, Lenovo. "The breadth, security and performance of our server line combined with our partner programs helps make doing business easier – all keys to growing and succeeding in the MSP market."
"Fixnetix has been able to build a leading edge, managed service solution, for one of the worlds' leading financial service organizations by leveraging close working relationships with key partners such as Lenovo," said Hugh Hughes, chairman and chief executive officer, Fixnetix. "In particular, we found the System x solution very easy to service and manage and that, combined with a worldwide support model, makes System x a foundational platform for future phases of our project."
